The idea is that we ride out with a target of catching the Hayling Ferry leaving Eastney at 2.30 to get to the Birthday bash.
That gives us time to visit a supermarket on Hayling (Tesco, Sainsbury, Co-op all available) to stock up for the party.
Alternatively, we'll be going past my house so let me know (ideally before Thursday 26th) and I can buy stuff in for you to collect.
We'll go out to the new café at Silversprings for elevenses going round the back of Portsdown Hill and through Knowle.
From there we'll drop down to Titchfield Haven and along the coast to catch the Gosport Ferry.
We can then stop for a snack in Southsea giving us enough time to catch the Hayling ferry. I've shown the Pavilion café but we have several options.

Ride leader notes
I ride an assistance e-bike which allows me to do most hills. I have a range extender that allows me to do 80-90 hilly miles or further for flatter rides.
My maximum comfortable speed on the flat without wind is 13mph at the start of a ride. I find, however, I can manage faster speeds after a few hours of riding. I struggle with balance when riding speeds lower than around 7mph.
Otherwise, I don't mind about pace when leading or joining rides. I'm out to enjoy the ride and speed is not part of that for me.
I get the biggest kick out of supporting new riders when they find out they can achieve much more than they thought.
About Saturday rides
Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.
Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.
Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
