Welcome to Portsmouth CTC - the friendly club for anyone in Southeast Hampshire or Southwest Sussex who likes cycling. It doesn't matter whether you're an experienced cyclist or a beginner, or lapsed. Or whether you like to ride fast or just potter along enjoying the beautiful countryside of Hampshire and West Sussex. If you're bored cycling on your own, or on the same old route, come and try us. We know all the best country lanes to avoid traffic, and the best tea shops! And it's not all men - over a third of our members are women.
Fancy a challenge?
We will be running our Cathedral Challenge series of rides during April, May and June this year. They start with short, flat rides and progress through longer and, after a while, hillier rides until the final challenge ride to Winchester Cathedral and back. You might think that's impossible for you but we've had many people complete the final ride that thought the same when they started!

We run several weekly rides to suit all tastes and abilities - click here to see our ride types, and here to see what you need. Anyone is welcome, but if you aren’t a Cycling UK member, we ask you to complete a ride entry form and observe our guidelines for club rides - there's no need to book. If you like us and want to ride regularly, you'll need to join Cycling UK, which gives you local membership and many additional benefits, including third-party insurance.
We also run cycle tours at home and abroad, work with local councils to improve cycling facilities, run social events and produce a quarterly magazine. Some of our members attend other cycle events, such as randonnée or Audax rides. And did we mention we're very friendly?
