Editorial policy

The public pages of this web site are intended to inform anyone interested about:

  • Portsmouth CTC
  • Cycling UK
  • Cycling, in general
  • Campaigns to improve cycling facilities

Events shown in the public pages are organised by:

  • Portsmouth CTC
  • Cycling UK
  • Other organisations, but with a significant input from Portsmouth CTC, Cycling UK, or their members

We are often notified of other events - such as charity cycle rides. We will publish details and links (including supplied email addresses) on our internal forums at our discretion based on our perception of the level of interest likely to be shown by our members.

We do not promote political activities, such as petitions, unless they directly relate to our campaigns. However, any of our members with access to the members' area of this site who feels strongly enough about an issue can raise it themselves through our internal forums. We encourage members to present both sides of the issue to give the article greater credibility.

Items posted in our internal forums are not visible to the public. Members can opt to be notified by email of new items and, in any case, the Secretary will refer to new items in his regular update email sent to all members (apart from those who have opted out).
