Map
The ride will start at the Churchillian at 0830. Depending on the availability of the Hamble and Hythe ferries the plan is to ride to the Hamble ferry and take coffee at the cafe on the Hamble side of the river. Lunch will be at Burley and the route will be via Beaulieu and Brokenhurst . The return journey will be via Lyndhurst and Beaulieu Halt to Hythe and thence the ferries to home. The ride is about 70 miles, but if any of the ferries have a problem then it will be much longer.
About Tuesday rides
The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
