Map

Please note that this ride will start at 9.00 a.m. from The Spring in Havant

A brisk paced hilly ride of 70 miles. Height gained: approximately 1,100 metres.

This is yet another variation of the ride that we have done a couple of times. We will go to Buriton via Rowlands Castle and Finchdean. Right onto the B2146 and first left at Nurstead to loop clockwise to the South Harting to Nyewood road via Goose Green and Torberry Copse. North to Rogate, across the A272 and then second right to Milland for coffee at the Village Stores & Café. We will then cycle to Lurgashall via Fernhurst and Lickfold Bridge. We will turn right onto the A283 south of Northchapel for one mile before turning left onto the narrow country lane to Ebernoe. Then right over Hoe Bridge to Balls Cross. South to Petworth for lunch at The Last Drop. We then head south to Barlavington and Duncton Down. Briefly south west on the A285 before heading home via East Dean, Singleton, West Dean and Lavant.

About Tuesday rides

The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.

There is no delay, however, if you use the 'Contact us about this event' link. If your comment does not appear here after some time has elapsed, it is probably because it was deemed to be not of general interest.
