Map

Please note that this ride will start at 9.00 a.m. from The Green, Rowlands Castle.

A brisk paced hilly ride of about 64 miles. Height gained: approximately 1,100 metres.

This is yet another variation of the ride that we have done a couple of times. We will ride to South Harting Elsted and Iping, taking a direct route to Milland for coffee at the Village Stores and Café. We will then cycle to Lurgashall via Fernhurst and Lickfold Bridge. We head to Northchapel via Hillgrove and then to Balls Cross via an easterly and southern loop. We will go through Petworth, where The Last Drop has unfortunately served its last drop! It has closed down, so we will have lunch at Badgers at Coultershaw Bridge. After lunch there is a choice of routes. South to Barlavington and Duncton Down, then briefly south west on the A285 before heading home via East Dean, Singleton, West Dean and Lavant. Alternatively we could head for Selham, Midhurst, Bepton and Cocking.

Warning: the roads are gravelly and wet, so come prepared with good winter tyres!

About Tuesday rides

The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
