... through long distance cycling.

The first club night this season is about something you know you want to do... riding more. In this case we are talking about covering longer distances. John Rosbottom and Richard Priddy, supported by Tricia and Bill Farnham will lead a discussion about how to overcome many of the barriers to riding further. These include what bike to use, what (not) to take on a longer ride, navigation, night riding and sleep (deprivation), the risks and how to minimise them, preparation, nutrition, hydration, and having fun. They will focus on the shorter end of long rides (no multi-day efforts here) that should be accessible to many club members.

About club nights

These take place on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of the month during the winter at the Bedhampton social hall, Bedhampton Road, Havant, PO9 3ES starting from 7.45 for 8pm. £1.50 entrance, including tea or coffee and biscuits.

We have had a lot of spam comments, so each comment now has to be moderated before it can be shown. It can therefore take some time before your comment appears. There is no delay, however, if you use the 'Contact us about this event' link. If your comment does not appear here after some time has elapsed, it is probably because it was deemed to be not of general interest.
