Map

This is your chance to have a go on the now well established Turbo Challenge, as seen at the Portsmouth CTC stall at local Fetes & Shows over the last few years.
See how far you can pedal in 1 minute, from a standing start, and get on the Leader Board. For the first time we will have a handicap system (0.8% muscle loss for each year over 50) to give us oldsters a chance and in an attempt to create a level playing field.

There will be a £1 charge, for as many goes as you want, and a prize for the highest man and woman scores (i.e. top of the Leader Board) at the end of the evening. We will have 2 rigs with one of the bikes having a small frame so everyone will be able to have a pedal, and as an extra incentive each rider will get a slap wrap, so no need to bring a cycle clip if you are in long trousers!

It is lots of fun, so come along and have a go, or at least come and cheer on the challengers!

You could be a Portsmouth CTC ‘Turbo Challenge Champion’

Just in case there is any time between your turbo challenge attempts and supporting others, there will be a number of picture and map quizzes to try your memory and map skills.
