We will start at the South West corner of Waterlooville Sainsbury's Supermarket in Hambledon Road by the cycle racks next to the shared pavement (zoom into map above to see the location). The pace will be slow enough to accommodate all comers. We will meet at 6-45 for a 7pm start.
The ride is approximately 90 minutes on the bike at a very leisurely pace going via Havant Station. It mainly avoids cycling along busy roads and most is off road. Most of the off road has an Asphalt surface. The remainder has a reasonably good unsealed surface. With one short exception that might be best walked, ascents are gentle inclines.
About Waterlooville CCC rides
We have established a Community Cycling club for Waterlooville - a series of cycle rides in the Waterlooville area for people who are new to group riding or who haven't cycled for a while. All are circular routes in moderate terrain that avoid steep inclines but may include a steeper descent. As far as possible we will avoid busy roads. Routes are all less than 50km long (most substantially less). Our aim is to make cycling enjoyable, safe and welcoming for all.
