Selsey Beach

Meet at 9am for 9-15am start outside Spring in East Street, Havant. Route is via Westbourne and South Coast Cycle Route to Chichester, Cycle route across town to Station, Canal Towpath and NCN88 to Sidlesham Quay. Route used to Selsey Beach is mainly new off road with good surface. (Selsey Town Centre is not easily accessible from this beach west of town.) Return via East Wittering, Chichester Marina, Fishbourne & Westbourne. Return distance from Havant is about 75km.
Coffee stop is at Chichester Canal Basin Cafe. I plan to take lunch but cafes and food are available in East Wittering.
Route maximises quiet road and off road options. All the off road sections are in reasonably good condition. At least 28c tyres are advisable. High Water is about 10-30am.

Bookings for this ride/event

Pop-up rides are invitation-only. We are operating under Government guidelines which dictate we must control the size of our rides. Do not attend a ride unless your name appears below or you have received an invite from the ride leader. You cannot assume that you are eligible to join a ride just because you asked to be added.

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
