Map
The aim of this ride is to help familiarise riders with the second half of the CCP Memorial Coastal Jaunt Audax route.
The ride will start from Farlington Marshes car park, at 10am. We will then go down the Eastern Road cycleway to get to Eastney. Morning coffee stop will be at The Coffee Cup on Eastney seafront. Next we'll ride to The Hard and catch the Gosport ferry. Cost for adult + bike is £5.80. Senior £4.40.
From there we will soon join the Audax CCP Coastal Jaunt route from where we left it the Sunday before, in South Street, Gosport. Fairly soon we join Henry Cort bus & cycleway, "The Eclipse". Following that we use more cycleways to go under the A32 and under the railway viaduct at Fareham. We'll use a Pelican crossing to cross the A27 to Cams Hill. There is a long, gradual climb up Portsdown Hill, after which we'll pause for lunch at Fort Nelson.
From Fort Nelson it's about 5 miles to the Audax finish at Denmead Community Centre.
To return to Havant we'll go through Purbrook Heath, then along Purbrook Way and Hulbert Road.
Tea stop will be in Havant centre.
The pace of the whole ride will be relaxed and without a time limit. Possible time back at Havant is perhaps about 6pm. Total distance from Farlington Marshes car park back to Havant is about 40 miles.

About Pop-up rides
We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.
The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
