Participation in the Paris to Hayling Virtual ride, requires cycling 180 miles (the nominal distance from Paris to Hayling) during the week of the cancelled Hayling Cycle ride.

This is the second of three rides - east, north and west - to meet that requirement.

The rides will all start in Havant and be over 50 miles each. The balance will be made up by cycling to the start and, if necessary, an extra loop or two on the final day.

We'll meet up in Havant and cycle to Cheriton via Purbrook, Denmead, Bat and Ball, Chidden, Coombe, West Meon and Hinton Ampner.

Elevenses somewhere on the way. Lunch on the green in Cheriton or at the Flower Pots Inn.

From Denmead we'll come back via Kilmeston, Brockbridge, Clanfield, Horndean and Rowlands Castle.

Toilet possibility in Denmead, otherwise at pubs on the route.

If the weather is adverse, we'll slip the date to Friday 10th.

Bookings for this ride/event

Pop-up rides are invitation-only. We are operating under Government guidelines which dictate we must control the size of our rides. Do not attend a ride unless your name appears below or you have received an invite from the ride leader. You cannot assume that you are eligible to join a ride just because you asked to be added.

This ride cannot exceed 6 riders (including the ride leader).

This ride is currently full but we encourage you to ask to join the wait list. That will let the ride leader:

  • Find out the demand for that type of ride
  • Nominate you as a replacement if someone drops out
  • Arrange to split the ride if there is sufficient demand

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
