Map
Due to the rain forecast for Saturday 10 July I have decided to postpone this ride to Saturday 17 July. All other details will remain the same - i.e the times and the 3 rides. Priority to people already booked so long as they inform me. There may be some cancellations so if you want to join the ride please contact me.
This ride will start in Havant and the event is limited to 30 attendees. To ensure we don't break the Covid rules, riders and non-riders will need to tell me they are coming. As is traditional the event will end up at a "secret location" for tea and cake around 3.30pm. You can just attend the tea - just let me know and I'll tell you where it is.
There will be 3 rides -
- The main ride, Grade C – elevenses at Bishops Waltham and lunch at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. GPX track shows this route. Total distance - Havant start to tea stop, 45 miles. Moderate pace to suit all. Led by Joy and Wilf Forrow.
- A fast ride, Grade A - destinations as above but a longer route to Queen Elizabeth Country Park for lunch and to tea destination. Led by Phil Beed from Elevenses.
- A social ride, Grade E - starting with elevenses at The Spring at 11am before leaving for Queen Elizabeth Country Park for lunch. Led by Andy Henderson
All rides will separately leave Queen Elizabeth Country Park heading towards Havant for the mystery tea destination
I hope you’ll be able to come along - it should be a chance to socialise again with a ride if you want to!
Bookings for this ride/event
Pop-up rides are invitation-only. We are operating under Government guidelines which dictate we must control the size of our rides. Do not attend a ride unless your name appears below or you have received an invite from the ride leader. You cannot assume that you are eligible to join a ride just because you asked to be added.
This ride cannot exceed 30 riders (including the ride leader).
This ride is currently full but we encourage you to ask to join the wait list. That will let the ride leader:
- Find out the demand for that type of ride
- Nominate you as a replacement if someone drops out
- Arrange to split the ride if there is sufficient demand

About Saturday rides
Rides usually from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.
Riders are free to join and leave the ride at various points. Some ride directly to the elevenses stop.
Saturday rides are (usually) much smaller than Wednesday rides. As a result they offer fewer options for rides but more flexibility for routes and destinations.
If you want to ride with us but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride so we can try to arrange something for you.
This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
