Meet Petersfield for coffee cake.
Liss, Greatham, Blackmoor, Oakhanger, West Worldham, Farringdon, Newton Valence (not via A32), Colemore, ride ends at Petersfield.

There is a short length 1/2 mile on Shipwrights Way path from Greatham to turn for Blackmoor to avoid riding on busy A325. It is well compacted fine gravel, and reasonable surface.

28 miles, 2000 feet climbing.
I have put grade as moderate, though there are a few longish gradual climbs including one short stretch at approx 8%.

Picnic lunch by pond at Newton Valence at 20 miles from start.

Facilities at Petersfield; otherwise no facilities on route.

If yo want to drive to Petersfield, I can suggest places for unrestricted parking.

We cross the line of the Roman road from Chichester to Silchester, (agger just visible from the road) and pass the site of an abandoned 18th c village. Also near to where 1968 Cadbury Milk Tray advert was filmed !

PCTC members only.

Bookings for this ride/event

Pop-up rides are invitation-only. We are operating under Government guidelines which dictate we must control the size of our rides. Do not attend a ride unless your name appears below or you have received an invite from the ride leader. You cannot assume that you are eligible to join a ride just because you asked to be added.

This ride cannot exceed 4 riders (including the ride leader).

This ride is currently full but we encourage you to ask to join the wait list. That will let the ride leader:

  • Find out the demand for that type of ride
  • Nominate you as a replacement if someone drops out
  • Arrange to split the ride if there is sufficient demand

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
