STRONG WINDS & RAIN FORECAST FOR WEDNESDAY.

IF THE WEATHER DOESN'T DETERIORATE TOMORROW THEN RIDE TO ELEVENSES ONLY.

********DECISION TOMORROW MORNING*************

********************************************************

Yet another nice ride and good day out planned for Wednesday. Hope that the weather is kinder than Sunday. Meeting at The Purbrook Heath Car Park on Purbrook Heath Road for a prompt 08:30 depart we will be heading cross country to Southwick Road and making our way to Brambridge for elevenses by way of Southwick, Newtown, Swanmore, Bishops Waltham.

After a short stop we will be off to tackle the infamous hilly Otterbourne Loop challenge. Having put that behind us it will be time for lunch at the highly recommended Otter Pub.

Hopefully not disappointed by the fare put before us, we head back by the way we came but at Swanmore change route to return via Hambledon and Denmead. A well-trodden path.

The ride terminates at Purbrook but some, but not all of the remaining riders, will be continuing on to Havant and beyond.

The distance is about fifty-eight miles with roughly two thousand seven hundred feet of ascent.

About Wednesday rides

Wednesday rides usually start from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.

Wednesday rides usually provide a range of options to riders as we'll try to arrange multiple rides with different paces, distance and degree of hilliness.

On Wednesdays it is likely that there will be several riders coming back to the Havant area after an elevenses stop - although they might not include a PCTC ride leader. If that is what you'd like to do, please consult the ride organiser before the day of the ride to ensure someone knows and is able to bring you back.
