We will start at 9.15 a.m. from The Spring, Havant

Grade A – demanding ride

Distance from Havant return: about 63miles. Height gained: approximately 1,200 metres.

The ride takes us to South Harting, Elsted, Iping and Easebourne. We will climb over Bexley Hill to Lurgashall for coffee and then on to Upperton and Petworth. We will head south to Barlavington, over Duncton Down and then to East Dean and West Dean, where we will stop for lunch at the village shop. We will return via Lavant, Salthill Road, Woodmancote and Westbourne.

We will not enjoy the fine dining that we usually experience on Tuesday rides because most of the pubs on the route are not opening until 17th May, but we will be able to sit in the rear garden of the West Dean village shop, which serves soup, sandwiches and cakes.

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
