Map

I will lead a moderate ride to Liss only, for up to 7 people for elevenses. You can then make your way back to Havant. Approx 38 miles round trip.
The first 2 who express an interest in continuing to Woking, can accompany me on a hilly 19 miles to Aldershot for a cafe lunch. Followed by:-
A 14 mile afternoon ride along the flat secluded Basingstoke canal tow path into Woking for a train return trip to Portsmouth. (No strikes due this week!)

Having done this trip before, there are usually a couple of bikes on the train at Woking already, hence the limit to 3 of us joining the train with bikes.
Would aim to catch a train before 16.00.

Plenty of track after Aldershot, so may not suit road bikes with narrow tyres.

About Wednesday rides

Wednesday rides usually start from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.

Wednesday rides usually provide a range of options to riders as we'll try to arrange multiple rides with different paces, distance and degree of hilliness.

On Wednesdays it is likely that there will be several riders coming back to the Havant area after an elevenses stop - although they might not include a PCTC ride leader. If that is what you'd like to do, please consult the ride organiser before the day of the ride to ensure someone knows and is able to bring you back.
