This is a CTC favourite which for obvious reasons we haven't had chance to do this summer:

Car ferry (10.00) to Fishbourne.
Road - Fishbourne to Newport
Disused railway line - Newport to Brading
Road - Brading to Ryde via Bembridge and St Helens
Catamaran (approx 18.00) - Ryde to Portsmouth

Meet at the CAR ferry port at 09.20 ready for 09.40 embarkation and 10.00 sailing.
We'll stop for coffee somewhere in Newport (see what's open)
Afternoon tea Puckpool cafe

The old railway line is a rough track so not suitable for out-and-out light weight sports bikes. Tourer or Hybrid best.

Probably 25-30 miles in total.

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
