The aim of this ride is to help familiarise riders with the first half of the CCP Memorial Coastal Jaunt Audax route.
The ride will start from Bidbury Recreation ground, at Bedhampton, at 10am. We will then go through Purbrook Heath to get to Denmead. Riders should bring their own 11ses refreshments to eat/drink at Denmead. We will pause and meet additional riders in the Kidmore Lane public car park at approx. 11.15am. We'll then ride to the Audax start at Denmead Community Centre, in School Lane.
From there we will follow the Audax Jaunty route to Titchfield Haven via Knowle Hospital.
At Titchfield Haven we will have a leisurely lunch stop of about one hour before continuing 6 more miles on the Audax route. After that we will branch off the Audax route and go to catch the Gosport ferry towards home. Tea stop will be at The Coffee Cup on Eastney seafront. To get back to Havant, we'll use the Eastern Road cycleway.
The pace of the whole ride will be relaxed and without a time limit. Possible time back at Havant is perhaps about 6pm. Total distance from Bidbury back to Bidbury about 45 miles.

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
