50 mile loop starting in Havant. We'll go north to South Harting then east along the north side of the Downs to Graffham for lunch at about 26 miles. Return over Cocking Hill then through Singleton to pick up the Centurion Way to Lavant.

Graffham shop is open for takeaways. Compton on the way and West Dean stores on the return are possible other stops if needed. However please bring food and drink just in case.

I have moderated my normal Graffham ride to make it somewhat shorter.

Do not attend a ride unless your name appears below or you have received an invite from the ride leader. You cannot assume that you are eligible to join a ride just because you asked to be added.

Ride leader notes

On club rides I ride a road bike and prefer to lead all day rides. I aim for 55 miles in the winter and 65 - 75 miles in the summer (although there are exceptions). One of my bikes is an e-bike which i use on faster rides, so I can keep the pace up. My preferred speed is 12 - 13mph depending on amount of climbing.
I 'm not keen on urban riding and prefer the countryside of the Downs to the north, west and east of us. Although I'm not a particularly good climber I don't shy away from hills as i think flat rides can be less interesting.

I sometimes lead morning only rides on a Friday for all-comers. On these rides I arrange groups to suit the pace of all riders.

I generally start my rides at the Spring Centre in Havant but will pick up on the route on request. I finish my rides here too although you are welcome to leave the ride elsewhere e.g.nearer to your home.

About Pop-up rides

We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.

The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
