- Route grade: C - Moderate route
- A - Demanding route. Riders should already have experience of, and be prepared for distance, hills and, probably, both. E.g. Liss or Arundel via Houghton.
- B - Hilly route. Involves major hills. E.g. Sustainability Centre or Alresford.
- C - Moderate route. Not especially long or hilly (but will involve climbs and descents). E.g. Bishop's Waltham
- D - Flattish route. Might involve some hills, but not major ones. E.g. Chichester or West Wittering.
- E - Short, flat route. Easy route often designed for people new to group riding.

Meeting at The Spring (the official start) for a nine a.m. depart we will be heading towards Tangmere along a few familiar lanes. Hopefully the flood waters will have receded so that we will arrive at The Cockpit Café with dry feet.
Leaving Tangmere, we head off to Colworth, North Bersted, Shripney and onto the Bognor By-Pass. At the Bognor Golf Club, we turn off to head down towards Felpham College, Hotham Park and the seafront. Braving the elements, we proceed along the seafront to Aldwick, Rosegreen stopping for lunch at the Pagham Beach Café. Nice fish and chips.
Homeward bound, we head north to Chi, Quarry Lane, Clay Lane and Westbourne. The ride terminates at Havant Station (the official end).
The distance is approximately 48 miles with a few undulations. Expect to be back in Havant before three o’clock.
Currently the weather forecast is favourable. Should forecast conditions deteriorate then I will email/message all riders and then decide what the best course of action is.

About Pop-up rides
We have certain days when we try to organise regular rides. However, individual ride leaders can create pop-up rides for any day and time.
The small size of some pop-up rides means we might be unable to split a ride if you get into difficulties. We will do all we can to escort you back to the start point, but please be prepared to navigate yourself home or to call for support from a partner, relative or friend.
