Another nice ride and good day out planned for Wednesday. Cheriton with a coffee/tea stop at Loomies on the way. Commencing at the Rowlands Castle Tennis Club carpark at 9:15a.m. the ride heads up the road to Horndean, along London Road to the Hampshire Hog, QECP and onto East Meon, West Meon and up to Loomies avoiding the busy A32, where possible, riding on the lane to the west.
Leaving Loomies, we cross the A272 soon turning off heading in a northerly direction making our way to Bighton across some very pleasant countryside. Turning south at Bighton, it’s a pleasant meander to the watercress meadows and onto to Tichborne soon arriving at the Flower Pots for lunch.
Departing The Flower Pots after what one would hope to be a hearty repast we’re off back on the final leg by way of Beacon Hill, Droxford avoiding the A32, Soberton, Newtown, Denmead to Purbrook where the ride terminates.
The distance is about fifty-three miles with roughly two thousand eight hundred feet of ascent.

About Wednesday rides
Wednesday rides usually start from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.
Wednesday rides usually provide a range of options to riders as we'll try to arrange multiple rides with different paces, distance and degree of hilliness.
On Wednesdays it is likely that there will be several riders coming back to the Havant area after an elevenses stop - although they might not include a PCTC ride leader. If that is what you'd like to do, please consult the ride organiser before the day of the ride to ensure someone knows and is able to bring you back.
This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
