Ian Limb from Portsmouth Water will give us a quick run through the history of Portsmouth Water about why it's here, its origins and commitments to the local community over 150 Years. Including: how springs, beer, Romans and conflicts all played a part in creating the Portsmouth Water we know today. He will also cover the future plans for a large new reservoir on the outskirts of Havant.
To participate fully, you'll need:
- a PC, tablet or phone with a decent internet connection;
- speakers or headphones; and
- a microphone.
The meeting will start with announcements, as usual. The Zoom conference will not be time-limited so there will be no need to log back in after 40 minutes.
Please mute your microphone during the presentation so you don't disrupt it. Thanks. There'll be an opportunity to ask questions at the end.
If you're unsure whether your device is up to it and whether it is configured correctly, you should check it out before the presentation: you can join a test meeting at zoom.us/test. The test asks you to speak a message which it plays back to you, testing both your microphone and playback device.
To join the presentation click this link just before it starts. You will be asked for a passcode, click here to log in to see it. Andy will have published the passcode and a link that doesn't need a passcode in the preceding update email. If you are not a PCTC member, contact Joy or Phil via the 'Contact us about this event' link above.
You don't need a Zoom account to join, but you can get a free one at zoom.us.
