Map
The earliest PCTC Photo we have is the start of a Ladies 50 in four (hours) race from Hilsea in October 1931. Our PCTC Time Team have now identified where the ride started from & today, 95 years on, we will recreate this historic event.

The ride will be open to both Ladies and Gents.
Distance options of original 50 miles or 50Km
Start Northwood Road/London Road Junction, with a photo before we set off, so arrive in good time.
Ride the route at your own pace - riding in company with others of similar pace is recommended.
Elevenses at Alresford (choose you own preferred cafe)
Finish at The George, Portsdown Hill

Ride leader notes
My preference is for longer rides at a steady pace, with an afternoon pub stop whenever possible.
I might be riding a geared bike or single speed depending on weather and who I'm riding with.
I also enjoy touring and taking part in audax events.
About Saturday rides
Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.
Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.
Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
