LangstoneHarbourIn this light-hearted, illustrated talk the perceptions and expectations that harbour users have of the Harbour Master will be contrasted with his duties and statutory powers. Come and peer under the placid surface of Langstone Harbour to discover that not all of the Harbour Master’s problems float!

Nigel Jardine is Manager and Harbour Master at Langstone Harbour in Hampshire, Nigel is a Master Mariner with a broad marine background. A former Marine Surveyor, he came to Langstone in 1998. He was Chairman of the Solent and Southern Harbour Masters Association for 10 years and sits on the Councils of the British Ports Association and the UK Harbour Masters Association.

About club nights

These take place on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of the month during the winter at the Bedhampton social hall, Bedhampton Road, Havant starting at 7.45. £1.50 entrance, including tea or coffee and biscuits.
