Map

Usual route to Aldingbourne via Funtingdon and Lavant, so fairly flat, approximately 15 miles. Route to Littlehampton via Walberton, Barnham and Ford, approximately 10 miles. Weather forecast looks promising so beach picnic (and swim?) at Littlehampton definitely an option. Return route via Chichester. Medium pace with overall distance around 50 miles.

Ride leader notes

I ride an electric assist gravel bike (Vitus E-Substance with Fazua mid motor). I am usually comfortable with overall distances of 60 miles at a medium pace, typically averaging around 11 mph. I enjoy the traffic free off-road or quiet back country roads routes. A few hills are OK, but avoid the more demanding ones, like Turkey island.

About Saturday rides

Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.

Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.

Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
