New club night season starts on Thursday

The new season starts on Thursday 9th October at 7:45pm. Everyone is welcome.

We'll be meeting on the second and fourth Thursdays each month (but not Christmas Day) to the end of March at Bedhampton Social Hall. You can see a map and the current program here.

We ask for a donation of £1.50 per person to cover room hire, tea/coffee and biscuits.

The first club night event on 9 October is about something you know you want to do... riding more. In this case we are talking about covering longer distances. John Rosbottom and Richard Priddy, supported by Tricia and Bill Farnham will lead a discussion about how to overcome many of the barriers to riding further. These include what bike to use, what (not) to take on a longer ride, navigation, night riding and sleep (deprivation), the risks and how to minimise them, preparation, nutrition, hydration, and having fun. They will focus on the shorter end of long rides (no multi-day efforts here) that should be accessible to many club members.
