About evening pub rides

Thursday evening rides in the summer from Havant or Farlington Marshes depending on direction. Destination is a pub for a drink or a meal.

There's a good chance you will arrive home after dark so you should bring some lights with you.

This article describes what you should consider bringing with you.

  1. Hi there,
I attended the Spring Centre tonight at about 18.45 and waited around until about 19.20 and nobody showed up.
This was going to be my 1st ride.
I just wondered if it is normal for the ride not to happen and how I would find out if it is cancelled for future events.

    Many thanks,

    John

    1. I'm really sorry that happened John. The leader for the pub rides is selected from the people that turn up. As a result there's no ride leader to cancel a ride in advance. Having said that I think it's a rare occurrence for no-one to turn up, so you've been very unlucky. I suspect holidays and the bad weather reports were factors. I hope you feel able to give it another go. If so, get back via http://www.portsmouthctc.org.uk/contact-us/ and I'll circulate the pub ride regulars to find out who is going.

      Andy
