Map
(Edited 31May - see Footnote 1 below) Departure 0900 sharp please. A hilly looping ride into North Hants - 25 miles to 11's at Four Marks, 25 miles to lunch in Haslemere and 30 miles back to Widley Walk via Compton for tea if time/opening hours allow. This is a lengthy and hilly ride which can be shortened on the day to meet any unforeseen 'dynamics' such as mechanical or other rider problems, bad weather and so on.
Footnote 1 - I test road the route Sat 30May and will be making minor adjustments to the published route to avoid a couple of Bridleways etc. I've also changed the lunch stop to Hindhead (the Devil's Punchbowl cafe) so as to avoid the busy urban area of Haslemere. The teastop is also changed to Trotton (the garden centre cafe). Total route now nearer to 75 miles.
Also - the route goes very close to the Purbrook Heath car park (opposite Rowan's Hospice). If there is anyone who would wish to start from there at 0910, then please let me know by email/phone, and we'll make sure we pick you up as we traverse the area. a23morgan@gmail.com/07950563531
You can see my proposed route here.
About Tuesday rides
The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
