Oakhanger & Lasham

Starting from Petersfield Market Square - outside the library - at 9.30am, the route goes to Steep Marsh and up through the Hangers via Oakshott, Priors Dean and Colemore, then progressing westwards, crossing the A32 towards Four Marks before turning right to Farringdon and Hartley Mauditt. The elevenses stop is at Oakhanger. From Oakhanger we will ride to Lasham for lunch via Binsted, Bentley, Well and Long Sutton. After lunch we will ride back to Petersfield via Bentworth, Medstead, Four Marks, West Tisted and Froxfield.

The total distance is about 57 miles. There are 3 steep climbs between Petersfield and Colemore.

For those who are bringing their bikes by car to Petersfield there is a free car park at Petersfield Heath, take B2146 Sussex Road towards Chichester, car park is just past the heath pond on the left. It’s about 1 mile from the car park to the meeting point in the market square:

Turn right immediately after 1st pedestrian crossing as you approach the town centre from the south, car park is about ¼ mile from meeting point.

The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
