Netley Abbey & Hampshire Bowman

Ride to Elevenses at Victoria Country Park, Netley Abbey – 27Km

There is a tricky road crossing when we arrive at Park Gate, 20Km, caution needed & may be easier to dismount.

There is also a short and sharp climb with bollards as we pass Bursledon Station, leave plenty of space for each other, especially the Single Speed bikes who made to need make full use of the paths width.

Look out for;
The Strict Methodist Chapel in Swanwick
A link to Sherlock Holmes in Hound Road

I plan to stop for a few minutes at the River Hamble Viewpoint in Old Bursledon.

Ride to Lunch at the Hampshire Bowman, Dundridge – 35Km
(shorter route option available)

Once clear of Hedge End we'll ride a loop through Durley and Upham.
Our route uses mainly quiet lanes with some nice climbs and descents
The Hampshire Bowman kitchen is open from 12-2pm

Return to Denmead – 22Km
Shorter option is via Swanmore

Total ride distance – 84Km
