Map

This is the longer ride (74 miles) that was planned but cancelled in June due to excessive temperatures. Elevenses will be at Brambridge (Check your bank balance before entering) at 20 miles. Lunch at the Leckford garden centre where John Lewis customers can be observed in their natural habitat! This is achieved after another 16 miles. The return leg passes through Kings Worthy, New Alresford and Cheriton, where refreshments can be taken at one of these locations.

The GPX plot shows the return to Denmead, however it is anticipated that riders routes will diverge after Corhampton Down.

This route has a 'Climb' ratio (Altitude gain divided by distance) of 12 where a lap of the Isle of Wight scores 23 or more.

Ride leader notes

I'm a regular participant in Wednesday & Sunday rides, Fridays as well if the weather is okay!

About Wednesday rides

Wednesday rides usually start from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.

Wednesday rides usually provide a range of options to riders as we'll try to arrange multiple rides with different paces, distance and degree of hilliness.

On Wednesdays it is likely that there will be several riders coming back to the Havant area after an elevenses stop - although they might not include a PCTC ride leader. If that is what you'd like to do, please consult the ride organiser before the day of the ride to ensure someone knows and is able to bring you back.
