Map

Pace of the ride will be modest; average of about 10 mph. Aim of the ride is to go and look at some special trees in the Bishop's Palace gardens of Chichester Cathedral.
Outward route will be Southleigh Road cycleway to Westbourne, right to Southbourne, Priorsleaze Lane, then the cycleway beside the A259 to Fishbourne and cycleway past Roman Palace almost to Chichester.
We'll have a coffee stop in the Cloisters tearoom (newly re-opened). Then leave our bikes near the tearoom and go for a walk in the Bishop's gardens, probably for about 30 minutes. I will be able to point out Cabbage trees, Redwood, Holm Oak, Ginkgo, Monkey Puzzle, Giant Sequoia and Foxglove trees.
Our route back to Havant will be Clay Lane, Woodmancote, Westbourne, Long Copse Lane, then Havant.
