Map
An all-comers ride to the cafe at Tangmere Military Aviation Museum.
Morning only - Back in Havant by 2pm.
Total distance - Approx 39 miles
Depending on numbers we will divide into groups so you can choose to suit your speed. Slowest group 10.5 - 11.0mph, medium 11 - 12, Fastest - whatever they choose! There may be the opportunity to change groups at the elevenses stop.
Ride Leaders - Volunteers to take a group please!
Note - Gail and I have taken on the running of these all-comers rides to give Joy a well earned rest. The route shown is only one option, but is probably the shortest and most direct. Other leaders may take alternative routes as they choose.
Please help us continue to make these rides a success, as Joy put so much work into them. They are an opportunity for all club members to meet-up.
Thanks, Terry & Gail.

Ride leader notes
Riding a lightweight road bike (during better months) the faster day rides I lead are typically 100-130km (60-80m) and occasionally 160km (100m).
Routes are at best undulating, usually “lumpy” (hilly), sometimes with severe hills!
- Average GOOD speed on “Faster” rides: 23kph (14mph)
- Average TYPICAL speed on “Faster” rides: 21kph (13mph)
Morning only rides are scaled back versions of day rides, usually at the same pace.
I also lead moderate rides as well, where the terrain difficulty is reduced (not so lumpy!) and the speed is adjusted to those attending the ride.
When I lead Waterlooville Community Cycle Club (WCCC) rides, which are generally easy relaxed rides, the pace is that of the slowest attending rider in the group.
About all-comers rides
These are half day rides for all members. They are moderate or more demanding rides (we also run easy rides for people unsure of their capabilities). Depending on numbers we split into groups to accommodate different speeds
Originally, we didn't ask you to book to join these rides, but that proved difficult to administer. We now ask you to let us know you're coming. The ride is still unlimited, however.
