ROUTE AMENDED TAKING OUT WET ROUGH BIT SECTIONS, THE BRIDGE AND LAKE CROSSING .

Leave Spring at 09:00hrs. 11’s at Runcton Farm Shop & lunch at the Quarterdeck, Itchenor.

Flat ride, forty seven miles or so with some cross country, rough stuff with possibly accumulated wet bits depending on the amount of rain preceding the ride and a bridge with steps at both ends. Other than that, plain sailing.

The cruise across to Ferry Hard at the bottom of Smugglers’ Lane costs £3.50 including bike.

Ride terminates at Emsworth and we should be there by three pm.

Weather looking good with an east wind behind us on the way back.

About Saturday rides

Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.

Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.

Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
