Map

An easy paced (approx 3 hours, 15 mile) social ride, designed for those returning to cycling. Taking off road routes and cycle paths down the Eastern road, with minimal on road riding near the sea front. Stopping at the Coffee Cup cafe for a break halfway, before returning on the same route.

This is a Return To Cycling (RTC) ride for new riders. The rides being offered in this series are a combination of off road, quiet roads and country lanes over different distances, with intention of building confidence to allow you to join the club rides that we offer. These rides are not open to existing club members.

Please use the "Contact us about this event" link for any enquiries and to book onto the ride.

Ride leader notes

I have 3 bikes: an Orbea e-bike, a Specialized Ruby bike that has had Cytronex fitted to provide electric assist and a steel touring bike - Argos racing cycles of Bristol which has also had Cytronex fitted. I like to have a pace of around 10-12 mph, preferring slower than fast. I don't mind hills, but try to keep the ascent to a sensible level.

My preferred distance is 40-60 miles, but I'm equally happy to do shorter rides.
