Map

We will be holding the AGM at Bedhampton Hall. We are hoping that this will be an opportunity for you to come along and see how the club is run and ask any questions you may have.

It will also be a chance to see cycling friends and have a social get-together with a fish and chip supper and some drinks. There will be a “table-top” sale for any cycling clothing, accessories or other cycling stuff that you no longer want but others might.

Dee Warner has agreed to arrange the fish and chips order this year:

Prices

Regular Haddock and chips £10.80
Regular Cod and chips £10.70
Battered sausage and chips £5.70
Veggie burger and chips £8.20
OAP Haddock or Cod and chips (smaller portions) £7.50

How to book your meal

There's no need to book attendance at the AGM.

Please let Dee Warner know your meal selection by Thursday 17th April.

How to pay for your meal

Please pay direct to Dee. Log in to see her bank details.

Bring your own

You are welcome to bring your own meal if you prefer. We can't provide heating facilities. Please bring your own plates and cutlery and be prepared to take your rubbish back with you.

Drinks

You are welcome to bring drinks - including alcoholic ones - with you. Please bring your own cups/mugs/glasses.

Your order needs to reach Dee by Thursday 17th April.

Reports at the AGM

As in past AGM's we won't go into detail on last year's minutes, the annual report, or the statement of accounts. Instead we will ask you to read the documents before the meeting. That will allow us to present brief summaries at the event in order to keep it as short as possible. See:

Agenda

The agenda for the formal part of the AGM is:

  • Apologies
  • President's address
  • Minutes of the previous AGM, available here
  • Matters arising
  • Annual report
  • Statement of Accounts
  • Election of officers
  • Appointment of auditor
  • Motion from Ian Hewitt (see below)
  • Any other business

As prescribed in the Cycling UK groups handbook, motions for the AGM must be submitted in writing to the secretary at least seven days in advance of the AGM.

Everyone is welcome to attend the AGM but voting is restricted to current Cycling UK members.

Motion from Ian Hewitt

Seconded by Wilf Forrow.

Ian proposes that the committee:

  • Review our existing guidelines for group cycling to see if they need updating particularly in the wake of the recent changes in the highway code.
  • Update the rules if required.
  • Find effective ways in which all our riders can readily learn and remember them.

Ian is aware that is already happening, but would like the opportunity to discuss at the AGM.
