Photo competition

Paul Hailwood will again be running our fiercely contested photo competition!

Four categories, each person can enter a maximum of 3 photos per category and as many categories they wish. All photos should have been taken in 2025.

Categories:

Smiles and Miles – photos taken whilst out on the bike showing the sheer joy and pleasure of cycling. Smiles on fellow cyclists faces or just happy scenes.

Cycle Journey – a photo giving the feeling of a journey by bike. Could be fellow cyclists plodding off into the distance or working up a hill or a view of a beautiful and inspiring cycle route.

Funny Caption – a photo related to cycling or a cycling event with a funny caption added.

My Best Shot – any subject from any place that you feel is your best of the year 2025. Does not need to be cycle related so wide open for anything and everything.

Each person at the evening will vote for their favourite from each category. A small token prize for the winner of each category. The best overall (for the cup) is then between the winning four, each person votes again for one of the four.

All entries should be sent by 4 January 2026 to phailwood@btinternet.com, remember to say which category they are for.

Bookings for this ride/event

This ride/event is unlimited and booking is not required. You're welcome to turn up on the day. Please come back to this page before joining in case we have to cancel or postpone.

About club nights

These take place on the second and fourth Thursday evenings of the month during the winter at the Bedhampton social hall, Bedhampton Road, Havant, PO9 3ES starting from 7.45 for 8pm. £2.50 entrance, including tea or coffee and biscuits.
