Map

Route to Elevenses at Trotton via Rowlands Castle, Finchdean, Idsworth, Littlegreen, South Harting, Nyewood and Dumpford.

Route from Trotton to Midhurst via Chithurst, Woolbeding, Easebourne, Bexleyhill, Lodsworth, Halfway Bridge, Selham, South Ambersham and West Lavington.

Route from Midhurst back to Havant via Cocking, Singleton, West Dean, Lavant, West Stoke, Funtington and Westbourne. To avoid the A286 between Midhurst and Cocking, there is a choice of route. One to the west of the main road via Bepton or one to the east via Heyshott, which includes a short stretch of rideable off-road.

The only testing hill in the whole journey is immediately after Cocking but this is the easiest way to get over the South Downs.

About Saturday rides

Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.

Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.

Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.

This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
