You may remember Dominic Irvine’s previous talk about his record tandem Lejog trip. This time he will be talking about his new adventure which was a 2,750 mile unsupported mountain bike race from the Mexican Border to Banff in Canada along the top of the Rockies. I’ve read the blog and it looks amazing – and gruelling! Dom is a brilliant speaker – don’t miss it!
We will be joined by members of Winchester CTC.
To participate fully, you'll need:
- a PC, tablet or phone with a decent internet connection;
- speakers or headphones; and
- a microphone.
The meeting will start with announcements, as usual. The Zoom conference will not be time-limited so there will be no need to log back in after 40 minutes.
There'll be an opportunity to ask questions at the end. You can also ask them during the meeting - please do that using Zoom's chat system. Please do not address questions to 'everyone' - instead send them to Phil.
You don't need a Zoom account to join, but you can get a free one at zoom.us.
If you're unsure whether your device is up to it and whether it is configured correctly, you should check it out before the presentation: you can join a test meeting at zoom.us/test. The test asks you to speak a message which it plays back to you, testing both your microphone and playback device.
To join the presentation click this link just before it starts. You will be asked for a passcode, click here to log in to see it. Andy will have published the passcode and a link that doesn't need a passcode in the preceding update email. If you are not a PCTC member, contact Joy or Phil via the 'Contact us about this event' link above.
Please mute your microphone during the presentation so you don't disrupt it. Thanks.
