Butser Summit

We meet at 8-45am outside Napier Hall in Portsmouth Road Horndean for a 9am start. Ride is approx 28km. At least 28c tyres are advisable. A short section is off road.
Route is via Catherington Down, White Dirt Lane, Drift Rd., Clanfield, NCN222 to the Hampshire Hog, then left & right onto easy route t Butser Summit. Return is via South Downs Way to Hyden Cross, Sustainability Centre, Teglease Down, Chidden, Scotland Farm, Reservoir & Observatory west of Clanfield, Hinton Manor, Shuts Grove & Lovedean Lane. Ride ends at Lovedean shopping Centre

About Waterlooville CCC rides

We have established a Community Cycling club for Waterlooville - a series of cycle rides in the Waterlooville area for people who are new to group riding or who haven't cycled for a while. All are circular routes in moderate terrain that avoid steep inclines but may include a steeper descent. As far as possible we will avoid busy roads. Routes are all less than 50km long (most substantially less). Our aim is to make cycling enjoyable, safe and welcoming for all.
