Start at The Spring at 9am.
A brisk paced hilly ride of about 60 miles. Height gained: approximately 1,000 metres.
We will ride to Bishops Waltham for coffee at Fred's via Finchdean, Chalton, Clanfield, Hambledon, Soberton and Swanmore.
After coffee we will head to Upham via Ashton Lane and then north east through the valley, past Blackdown Farm, across Belmore Lane into Longwood Dean Lane. We will turn right at Lane End and climb up to the Milburys crossroads. Straight across and first left to descend to Kilmeston. We will turn right past Kilmeston Manor before riding north towards Hinton Ampner. Sharp right to follow the narrow lane past New Pond Cottages and on to West Meon for lunch at the Thomas Lord.
We will head home via East Meon and Petersfield. Back to Chalton and Finchdean via the new Butser Cut cycle way. The ride is slightly shorter than usual because of reduced daylight hours at this time of year.
About Tuesday rides
The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
I had a go at plotting the route from your description Mike. I make it a bit less than 60 miles ( approx 56.8 Havant to Havant). See linky
