Latest: Unusually this ride was abandoned due to the rain, and associated terrible weather forecast. Or rather the ride is postponed; the wusses who chose to give up agreed to try again tomorrow, Wednesday 12 July, starting at 08h30 at the roundabout on the A259 in central Emsworth. Any club members who fancy a longer ride of around 100 miles are very welcome to join us.

Note that this ride starts from Chichester Railway Station at 9.25am. (Train times have changed since last year; the 8:56 from Fareham arrives in Chichester at 09:23, so we will delay the start of our ride until the train arrives.)

The plan is to repeat last year's ride, subject to a reconnaissance. See 2016 ride where you can find route information and a gpx file. The reconnaissance ride (Monday 10 June) will identify any impediments on the route and work around them.

As last year John will lead an informal ride to Chichester, leaving the roundabout on the A259 in central Emsworth (by the bus stop) at 08:30.

About Tuesday rides

The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.

We have had a lot of spam comments, so each comment now has to be moderated before it can be shown. It can therefore take some time before your comment appears. There is no delay, however, if you use the 'Contact us about this event' link.
