This is the ride provisionally scheduled for 14th June but which will now take place on 21st June.
The ride starts from the Croft Road car park in Godalming (6 hrs = £3.60; 8 hrs = £4.80), giving us an easy route out of town. The image below shows the car park in relation to the railway station (click to enlarge). National Trust members who don't want to pay car park charges can leave their vehicle in the car park at Winkworth Arboretum which is about 10-15 mins cycle ride to Croft Road. On the upside we return via Winkworth Arboretum so riders parked there get an early finish. If you can offer car space, or would like a lift, let John know and he'll try to do some match-making.
There are 7.52am and 8.04am trains from Havant to Godalming that arrive at 8.53, and an 8.34am that arrives at 9.19. All three trains officially allow just 2 cycles, with no opportunity to book.
Hard core riders can just ride to the start. It's less than 3 hours from Havant (but not much less).
The route is approximately 90 km, taking in many hills with names.
Elevenses are at Westhumble, with fringe benefits for trainspotters. Lunch is at Coldharbour or Forest Green depending on time of day and how we are feeling about Leith Hill. The ride offers quiet lanes and some beautiful views in an area we rarely visit.

About Tuesday rides
The Tuesday rides are typically 60-80 miles at a moderately fast pace while maintaining the social nature of the Saturday and Wednesday rides. The rides will start at various locations to be determined by the individual ride leader.
