Map

An easy paced 31 mile ride for this hilly route to West Meon for refreshment at Cuppacheenos cafe. Happy to pick up anywhere en route e.g. 5 Heads Rd Catherington, Bird in Hand, Lovedean Lane - just let me know beforehand. Return is via Denmead and Havant Thicket to view the reservoir works (the track is perfectly cycleable). Aiming to finish the ride around 1.30pm

Ride leader notes

Back in the day, as the term goes, cycle touring was my favourite mode of cycling. Now it's a more leisurely approach to riding with assistance from one of my bike conversions to 'E'. I'm as happy on hills as the flat and enjoy slow cycling as much as more demanding rides.

About Saturday rides

Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.

Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.

Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
