Crazy wheeled event

I've received a message from Ben Clabon at Portsmouth City Council about an event that I would like to support as we share our 100th birthday with them -

"On Friday 10th July, we're launching both the Lions Trail part of Portsmouth 100 and the latest stage of Portsmouth's UK City of Culture 2029 bid. As part of the celebrations, we'd love to create a colourful procession that celebrates Portsmouth's cycling heritage and pays tribute to the thousands of dockyard workers who once cycled to work every day.

The vision is to bring together as many different types of wheels as possible—classic bikes, modern bikes, adapted cycles, cargo bikes, penny-farthings, decorated bikes... anything that rolls! If people would like to add a splash of colour, decorate their bikes, or even come in costume, that would make it even more special.

We'll be meeting outside Portsmouth Museum and Art Gallery at 6:30pm, with the procession setting off at around 6:45pm. We'll make our way into the main event, where the BBC will be broadcasting live, and photographers will be capturing the moment for the press. To make it even more fun, the parade will be led by a fantastic jazz band on bicycles!

We'd absolutely love it if some of your members could come along, enjoy the atmosphere, have a drink before, and be part of a really memorable moment for the city.

I would like to as many of us as possible to support this event as we share our centenary with Portsmouth City. I appreciate its the day before the party - but hope to be there at least for a short while.
