Map

A morning ride out to West Stoke village hall for the free CCP luncheon…

Note: Amended start time, now 9.00am

“A bit of Gravel” takes us on a MEDIUM paced route, on as the name suggests, off road routes and quiet lanes.

Taking the South Coast Cycle Route (You know the one, Westbourne - Woodmancote - West Ashling - Fishbourne) before taking the road to Apuldram and then hopping on the first part of the off road route the Salterns Way.

We’ll loop round (Map & route above) Birdham, Earnley and Siddlesham before heading off road to North Mundham. Onto the Chichester canal path and then back tracking to West Stoke for lunch.

The route is about 50km(30m) to lunch and being off road will favour wider tyres or your best gravel bike 😳. Coffee stop at the Boat House Cafe if we need it!

About Saturday rides

Rides usually from Havant with stops for elevenses, lunch and sometimes tea. If you're unable to keep up or have a mechanical problem, someone will be available to help you - although we obviously cannot guarantee to solve all problems.

Riders are free to join and leave the ride at various points. Some ride directly to the elevenses stop.

Saturday rides are (usually) much smaller than Wednesday rides. As a result they offer fewer options for rides but more flexibility for routes and destinations.

If you want to ride with us but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride so we can try to arrange something for you.
