A few hills (around 270metres of climbs) on the 15 mile route to West Dean (via East Marden & Chilgrove) and then a flat route along Centurion Way to Lavant before heading west to our CCP funded lunch at West Stoke Village Hall. Note the later start at 9.30 due to the short 20 mile overall route to lunch.

Ride leader notes
I ride an electric assist gravel bike (Vitus E-Substance with Fazua mid motor). I am usually comfortable with overall distances of 60 miles at a medium pace, typically averaging around 11 mph. I enjoy the traffic free off-road or quiet back country roads routes. A few hills are OK, but avoid the more demanding ones, like Turkey island.
About Saturday rides
Saturday rides tend to be small ones. Typically we offer fewer options for rides than Wednesdays, but more flexibility for routes and destinations.
Most rides are morning only, riding out to a stop for elevenses and back again.
Some will be full day with stops for elevenses, lunch and, possibly, tea. If you want to join a full day ride but only to elevenses and need someone to help you with the route back, please let us know in advance of the ride in case someone else that knows the route wants to do the same.
This article describes what you should consider bringing with you on one of these rides.
